Glennette Dowdy Latham, 62, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, December 17, 2004 at the Medical Center Of Central Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, December 20, 2004, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Bob Chaudoin officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Latham was born February 27, 1942, in Dooly County, Georgia, to the late Glenn and Lorene Hawkins Dowdy. She was a homemaker and had lived in the community most of her life, graduating from Fitzgerald High School in 1960. Mrs. Latham was an active member of Westside Baptist Church and the Goodnews Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Latham is survived by her husband: Larry Latham, Fitzgerald; one son and daughter-in-law: Allen and Allison Latham, Villa Rica, GA: one daughter and son-in-law: Hope L. and Shannon Sledge, Ty Ty, GA; six grandchildren: Hailey Bostick, Becca Bostick, John Daniel Sledge, Sara Beth Sledge, Shae Latham and Jayce Latham; four sisters: Genita Cohen, Holden Beach, NC, Geraldine Harris, Powder Springs, GA, Bette Walsh, Blackshear, GA and Wanda McLemore, Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Hal Latham.
