Veronica M. (Mongeau) MacDonald, 93, of Northbridge, passed away Sunday, December 14th in Millbury Healthcare Center. Her husband, Herbert C. MacDonald, died in 1984. She leaves two sons, Herbert C. MacDonald, Jr. of Coatesville, PA and Warren E. MacDonald of Gardena, CA; four daughters, Jeannette E. Ward of Northbridge, Linda M. Bonin and Madeline A. Davenport, both of Millbury, and Pamela A. Westerlind of Worcester; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph T. Mongeau.
She was born in Leicester, the daughter of Wilfred J. and Agnes V. (Trainor) Mongeau and graduated from David Hale Fanning Girls Trade School. She had worked at Dapol Plastics and the Holiday Inn, and later was a housekeeper at the Anna Maria Rest Home for 15 years. She was a former member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Cherry Valley and Our Lady of the Angels Parish, Worcester. Mrs. MacDonald enjoyed crocheting, reading, and country music.
The funeral is Wednesday, December 17th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours are Tuesday, December 16th from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
