LEICESTER: Eleanor M. (Sloan) Biscornet, 93, of Main Street in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester died Monday, Dec. 8 in Life Care Center of Auburn after an illness.
Her husband, Louis J. Biscornet died in 1988. She leaves three daughters; Margaret M. Darling and her husband Leonard of Cherry Valley, Barbara A. Lekstrom of Rochdale and Nancy M. Oliver and her husband Clarence, Sr. of Worcester, three grandchildren; Patrice Hunt of Rochester, N.H., Robin Hunt of Rochdale and Clarence Oliver, Jr. of Worcester, six great-grandchildren: Jonah, Nathaniel, Ethan, Annie, Lilly & Emily, many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by nine brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Biscornet was born in Leicester, daughter of Carlos and Margaret (Cuticone) Sloan. She worked at Worcester Woolen Mills retiring in 1965 and previously worked at Handy Manufacturing Co. in Worcester. She belonged to St. Joseph / St. Pius X Parish. She was an avid gardener and bingo player. The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center of Auburn for their compassionate care.
The funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 15 from MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Sunday, Dec. 14 from 5:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Life Care Center of Auburn, Resident Activity Fund, 14 Masonic Circle, Auburn, MA 01501.
