Obituary

BEVERLY: Paul C. Merson, 60, died Sunday, December 7, 2014 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare Center in Athol following an extended illness.
Born in Danvers on June 22, 1954, he was the son of the late Harvey T. and Frances J. (Lynch) Merson. He was a lifelong resident of Beverly and a graduate of Beverly High School.
Paul was employed as a machinist for Arwood Machine in Ipswich and Standley Bros. in Beverly for many years. He was a member of the Beverly Lodge of Elks #1309 and the Franco-American Club in Beverly.
He is survived by four sisters, Frances Saunders and her husband, Richard of Danville, NH, Maryanne Merson of Cannan, ME, Susan Drohan of Middleton and Amy Merson of Gloucester; one brother, Thomas Merson of Beverly; an uncle, Gerald Merson of Framingham; an aunt, Mary Lynch of California and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Nancy Merson and Ellen Perkins, a brother, Charles Merson, an uncle, David Merson and two aunts, Ruth Fallico and Emily Hansen.
Paul’s funeral service will be held on Friday in North Beverly Cemetery, Cabot St., (Rt.97) Beverly at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Salvation Army, 93-95 North St., Salem, MA 01970.
