Lambert of Brockton, MA formerly of Warwick, RI March 27, 2002 Carol B. (Canning) Lambert 57 years. Wife of the late Thomas J. Lambert. Daughter of Eleanor M. (Muller) Canning of Warwick and the late John B. Canning. Sister of Joan M. Gray and John B. Canning both of Warwick , Lois J. Sampson of Charleston, W. Virginia and the late Dorothy E. Cayer.

Funeral Service in the Brockton VA Medical Center Chapel Wednesday at 10 am. Burial in the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in Carol’s memory may be made to the Key Club @ VA Medical Center 940 Belmont St. Brockton, MA 02301.

Carol died unexpectedly Wednesday in the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton.She was born in Providence, RI and raised in Warwick daughter of Eleanor M. (Muller) Canning of Warwick and the late John B. Canning. She was a graduate of Warwick Veteran’s Memorial High School Class of 1963. Following graduation she enlisted in the WAVES of the US Navy.

For the past several years she has been a resident of Brockton. She has been an active volunteer in many aspects of the Brockton VA Medical Center. She recently received an award from the Voluntary Service Program for 7 years 5,677 hours of service.Carol was very involved with a variety of veteran’s groups including the DAV.She enjoyed painting, arts and crafts and gardening.

She was the wife late Thomas J. LambertIn addition to her mother she survived by a brother and two sisters as aboveSeveral nieces, nephews and cousinsShe was the sister of the late Dorothy E. Cayer
