Wayne Allen Murray age 64 of Salem, NH, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Anna Jacques Hospital, Newburyport, MA.
He was born in Pawtucket, RI, grew up and was educated in Rhode Island. He moved to Salem, NH in 1966.
Wayne was a baseball umpire for the Town of Salem for many years. He also had worked at Rockingham Park Race Track. Wayne’s life and passion was baseball and he umpired in NH and Massachusetts. He was a coach for the Salem Rams football and was a member and Past Exalted Ruler in 1986 of Derry-Salem Elks Lodge in Salem, NH.
Wayne was predeceased by his sister Barbara Ann Murray.
Wayne is survived by his mother Barbara Murray of Pascoag, RI;
A Daughter, Several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins;
and by his godchild Ashley Schultz and his best friend Steve Schultz.
Memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 3-4:30 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. A memorial service will follow at 4:30 PM.
