Rocky Jae Short

Rocky Jae Short, 52, of Anderson passed away after a sudden illness at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital on December 3, 2014.
He was born October 8, 1962 in Anderson.
Rocky attended Frankton High School and in 1980, he moved to Houston, TX. Rocky was a DJ for several popular night clubs in Houston and found his niche in life as a DJ. He later returned to Anderson and worked as a DJ at VIP Show Club until his death.
Rocky enjoyed life and everyone he met. He had a big heart and would do anything he could for his family and friends. He especially enjoyed time with his family.
Rocky is survived by his father, Marvin (Joyce) Short, his mother, Judith Couch-Owens; two sisters, Martina Wright; Melissa Ray; daughter, Amber Short ; and son, Tyler Short; grandson, Mason Jones; granddaughter, Addison; his fiancée, Christy Swisher and her two sons, Sebastian and Triston; niece and nephew, Danielle and Tyler Albano and great niece and nephew, Aadan and Aarianna Dillon; several uncles, aunts and numerous cousins along with special lifetime friend, Jack Rush.
Rocky was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts and uncles and his son, Tony Postleawite-Short in 2006.
Since cremation was chosen, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
