Obituary

MURRAY, Paul- Of Wakefield, formerly of Malden, December 5th. Devoted husband of the late Phyllis (Nicolls). Beloved father of Patricia Murray and her husband Larry and Paul Murray, Jr. and his wife Donna all of Malden and Colleen Bowie and her husband Wayne of Wakefield. Brother of James Murrau and his wife Eunice of Malden and thelate Mary James, Lillian O'Neil, Louise Dellisola, Thomas, William, Edwin and Robert Murray. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Lonigro, Paul Murray, Kimberely urray, Larry Murray, Matthew Bowie and Adam Bowie. Also lovingly survived by 8 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square), MALDEN on Thursday, December 11th at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Paul's name may be made to Club 24 or the East Side AA Club.
A lifelong Malden resident, Paul passed away at his daughters home late Friday evening after a brief illness. An employee of the Malden Housing Authority, he started in 1969 and retired as foreman in 1994. A United States Navy Veteran of World War II, Paul always put family first. In his spare time and in retirement, he enjoyed golf, music from the 40's and 50's, a good card game and traveling. His fondest destination were crusing to Alaska, Hawaii and the Grand Canyon. A sports enthuist, who loved all Boston teams, from the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics to Bruins.
