Rena F. Sylvestre 92, of New Haven ,CT died Tuesday December 2, 2014 at the Apple Rehab Center. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Felix and Eva (Leclaire) Sylvestre. Rena was an executive secretary for CIT Financial and the FBI retiring in 1987. She was a volunteer for Birth Right of Greater New Haven, and a longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven.
Rena is survived by her sister Muriel Scimemi of Colorado Springs, CO and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Leo Sylvestre and Edna St. Germain.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Church, South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
