Walter P. Carson, 79, of Santa Paula, passed away on December 3, 2014, after a courageous fight with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born September 11, 1935 in Waterloo, IA to parents Walter and Agnes Carson. He attended Sacred Heart High School in Waterloo, IA, Moler Barber College in Sacramento, CA, and later graduated from California State University Long Beach with a degree in Marketing. He worked for Merchants Home Delivery Service, which became Exel Direct, for 32 years.
He loved to fish, bowl, and watch his 3 favorite teams, the Dodgers, Lakers, and UCLA Football. He coached A.Y.S.O. and refereed games for several years.
From 1992-1999 Walter and Susan Carson owned Substation II in Oxnard, CA.
Walter is survived by Susan, his loving wife of 44 years; children Christine Weber (Jason), Ventura; Michael Carson (Amy), Lumberton, TX; and Kimberly Carson of Lake Oswego, OR. Grandchildren Andrew Trujillo, Tyler Weber, Joshua, Abby, and Brendan Carson, and Keegan Akeson.
Visitation will be held on December 8th from 5-8 p.m at the family owned, JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. 643-8623. Rosary will start at 6 p.m. Service will be held at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church, Ventura, CA on Tuesday, December 9th at 10 a.m. Private burial at Santa Paula Cemetery.
