Obituary

Alice, L. McElroy, 91, formerly of Jackson Flat Road in Hope, passed on Monday, December 1, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene A. McElroy, Jr. who died on June 10, 2012.

Born in Montpelier, VT, she was a daughter of the late Euclide and Anna (Soucy) Boisvert. She had lived in Scituate for 60 years.

Alice was a receptionist for the Cranston Print Works in Cranston until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, gardening and family gatherings. She was active in her church and in her community. Alice was a true lady, in every way.

She is survived by a son, Gene A. McElroy and his wife Carol of Foster and a daughter, Gail Shea and her husband Michael of Glocester, eight grandchildren, Ian, Justin, Eric, John and Lauren Shea, Hilary Coons and Alison Daigle and eight great grandchildren. Laila, Zaynab, Abdullah, Adam, Jacob, and Zach Daigle, Brady and Owen Coons. She was the sister of Norman Boisvert of Coventry and Robert Boisvert of West Warwick. She was the grandmother of the late Corey Shea and sister of the late Doris Boisvert.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 48 Highland St., West Warwick. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation Thursday 5-7PM.
