Harry P. Dunn, a retired attorney from Bridgewater died December 12, 2004 following a lengthy illness.
Born and raised in Bridgewater, he was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Frank F. and Abigail F. (O’Meara) Dunn. He was a graduate of Bridgewater Academy, Bridgewater State Teachers College and Boston University Law School. Along with his five siblings he served in the United States Armed Forces during WWII.
Mr. Dunn raised seven children with his late wife Jane (Callahan) Dunn who died in 2000. He served as a town Selectman, Town Consul, Democratic Committee Chairman and Veteran’s Agent for the town of Bridgewater. For many years he had been an advocate for the poor in the Bridgewater and Brockton communities. He was a former member of the Plymouth County Bar Association.
Mr. Dunn is survived by four daughters, Judith Serlenga of Bridgewater, Janet Dunn of Silver Spring, MD, Jean Dunn-Gallagher of Sacramento, CA, Mary K. Dunn of Oakland, CA, three sons Paul Dunn of Assonet, Mark Dunn of Silver Spring, MD and Michael Dunn of Bridgewater, eleven grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law, Frank F. Dunn Jr. and Dorothy Dunn of Bridgewater, a sister Nancy Graham of Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Edward Dunn, Charles Dunn and Quintin Dunn.
