Randall A. Cote announces with a heavy heart the passing of his mother Cecile “Cis” J. Courtemanche - Cote, 91, of Lawrence. Mrs. Cote died November 30th at the Wingate in Andover with her son Randy and close friend Harry Figueroa at her side. Born in Nashua, NH Mrs. Cote had been an area resident all her life. As a young woman she worked at Hitchcock and Curtis in Nashua, NH, then went on to Western Electric / Lucent Technologies where she worked in quality assurance. Mrs. Cote was also well known for her cake decorating skills. She was a member of the Pioneers of America, BPOE lodge 65 in Lawrence, and attended church at St. Mary of the Assumption. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Wingate in Andover for all the compassion they showed them during this difficult time. Mrs. Cote is pre-deceased by four sisters Florence Goodspeed, Rachael Schwar, Violet Pemberthy, and Mary Rose Courtemanche and one brother Roland Courtemanche. The widow of the late Omer O. Cote she is survived by one son Randall A. Cote of Lawrence, several nieces and nephews and her close friend Dorothy Rennie - Todd. In lieu flowers the family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Cote’s memory to St. Mary of the Assumption Parish.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 205 Hampshire St. Lawrence, MA from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm a Mass will be celebrated at St Mary Church at 1:30 pm burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover.
