Obituary

Theofanis “Theo” Stefanakos, 76, of Worcester, died Friday, November 28th in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Maria (Manoleas) Stefanakos; his two daughters, Irene and Evangelia Stefanakos both of Worcester; two sisters, Irene Kokolakis and her husband, Vasili, and Voula Filipopoulou all of Athens; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Taki Stefanakos.
He was born in Agios Nikolaos, Messinias, Greece the son of George and Maria (Gouneas) Stefanakos. Theo had been employed for many years at Tony’s Pizza in Sutton, retiring last year. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and was a strong supporter of its Ladies Philoptochos Society. Theo enjoyed time spent with his family, fishing and soccer, and was an avid fan of the Olympiakos team.
His funeral is Wednesday, December 3rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, December 2nd, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
