Mary Celeste Babineau, 96 of Plymouth passed away at home surrounded by family and friends on November 24th. She was born in Pictou, Nova Scotia daughter of Owen and Mary Catherine (McEwen) Babineau. She is survived by her sister Anna V. Babineau of Plymouth and was predeceased by her sister T. Marguerite Haley. Also survived by her nephew Robert Haley and his wife Maureen of Hopkinton MA and her niece Theresa Mortensen and her husband Dana of Wakefield as well as a great niece, two great nephews three great grand nieces and a great grand nephew.
Mary Celeste lived most of her life in Melrose enoying summers in Manomet since 1952 moving to Plymouth full time about 25 years ago. She was employed by Arthur D. Little, a research and development company as an Electron Microscopy Technician. She enjoyed bird watching, photography, painting and geneology, researching her family roots.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Bonaventure's Church on Saturday November 29th at 11 AM, preceeded by a 10 AM viewing at the Richard Davis Funeral Home at 619 State Road in Manomet.
Burial will be private.
