FALL RIVER – Hilda (Soares) Creeden, 78, of 495 New Boston Road, died Sunday, December 12th at the Kimwell Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of the late Michael Creeden and is survived by 1 son: Michael K. Creeden of Miami, Florida, 1 daughter: Lorie Veilleux of Fall River, 3 grandchildren: Daniel & Amy Oliveira and Rylie Veilleux, and several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel O., August O., Joseph O., & John O. Soares, Agnes Arruda, Mary Rego, Alice Soares, & Olive Carreiro.
She was born in Fall River and a life long resident of the city, the daughter of the late John O. Soares and the late Maria (Oliveira) Soares. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a Garment Inspector for the Bristol Knitting Mills and was a member of St. Michael’s Parish.
Her funeral will take place on Wednesday, December 15th at 8:00 AM from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 No. Main St. Fall River, MA, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00 AM in St. Michael Church, Essex St. Fall River, MA. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Rd. Fall River, MA. CALLING HOURS ARE TUESDAY FROM 4:00 – 8:00 PM
