Margaret Lena (Sutton) Cox, 95, of Anderson died November 19, 2014 at Community Hospital in Anderson after a brief illness. She resided at Bethany Pointe Health Campus.
Margaret was born August 19, 1917 in Garrard County, Kentucky to Samuel and Caroline (Doolin) Sutton.
She was a homemaker and Piston Ring Inspector at Perfect Circle Company during World War II.
She attended East Side Church of God. She was a fantastic cook and an avid reader.
She is survived by her son, Rev.
Glendon K. (Bonita) Cox of Anderson; nine grandchildren, David Cox; Karen (Gregg) Upperman; Kristi (William) Brown; Jana (Alan) Perny; Jennie (Greg) Towler; Debra (Jim) Sams; Douglas Hoover; Denna (Carlos) Centurion; and Christopher (Jennifer) Cox; fourteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray A. Cox in 2005; her son, Kendall Cox; daughter, Barbara Strausheim; grandson, Daryl Hoover and six brothers.
Services will be 1 P.M. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. Kerry Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to East Side Church of God, Christian Center or Christian Counseling Center.
