Loudon-----Wilbur D. Phillips, 75, of 972 Rte. 106 North, died at his home on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.
Mr. Phillips was born October 20, 1939 in Colebrook, N.H., the son of the late Linwood and Mary (Mills) Phillips . He received his Associate’s Degree at the University of New Hampshire, Thompson School of Agriculture.
Mr. Phillips resided in Tilton for thirty- seven years before moving to Loudon. He had been employed by the U.S.D.A. Soil Conservation in Grafton, Belknap and Merrimack Counties. He formerly owned Phillips Farm Produce in Tilton and the Speedway Self-Storage in Loudon. He was a salesman for Tractor Supply in Chichester.
Mr. Phillips was a member of the Evangelical Baptist Church,a member of the Tilton Planning Board and a member of the Care Net Pregnancy Center of the Lakes Region.
Survivors include his wife, Norma (Corson) Phillips, of Loudon; two sons, Robert Phillips and Rodney Phillips, both of Loudon; a daughter, Robin Pugh, of Rogers, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Aimee, Casie, Cody and Colin Phillips and Brian and Nikole Pugh; one great grandchild; three brothers, Lester Phillips of Alstead, Richard Phillips of Georgetown, Texas, Bradley Phillips of Landisville, N. J. , a sister, Linda Whipple, of Sunapee, N.H. and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Phillips was predeceased by a brother, Wesley Phillips.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 5:00-7:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 1:00PM at the Evangelical Baptist Church, 50 Washington Street, Laconia, N.H.
Private family burial will be in the Cold Spring Cemetery in East Rochester, N.H.
