Patricia Gene "Pat" (Reveal) Cler, 86, of Anderson passed away November 15, 2014 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus.
Pat was born August 14, 1928 in Elwood, IN to Robert Sr. and Clara (Cochran) Reveal. She was raised in Edgewood, IN. In 1946, Pat graduated from Anderson High School where she met her future husband, Bernard J. Cler.
They were married May 14, 1949. Shortly after the birth of their first child, Bernard was recalled into the US Air Force beginning 25 years with many different duty stations in the U.S. and England.
Pat was a busy homemaker caring for her seven children, often on her own when Bernie had overseas duties, including a year in Viet Nam.
In 1976, Pat and Bernie retired in Pendleton, where she was able to renew high school friendships. She completed a LPN degree in Anderson continuing a lifelong interest in nursing that started in 1946 with one year of nurse's training at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Pat enjoyed travelling worldwide with her husband including visits to all the continents. She welcomed friends, family and especially grandchildren for visits.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie following 54 years of marriage, her parents, her stepmother, Jessie Reveal, her brother, Robert Reveal, Jr. son Richard Cler and granddaughter, Alison Rund.
Pat is survived by her children, Fred (Linda) Cler, Barbara (Jonathan) Rund, David (Linda) Cler, John (Karen) Cler, Jerry (Becky) Cler, and Charlie (Eileen) Cler, thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 20, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service 229 South Rangeline Road, Anderson with Jonathan Rund officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery, 200 College Drive, Anderson, IN 46012.
Visitation will be 11 am to 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
