Charles Stinton, 72, of Enigma died Monday, November 18, 2014, at his residence. A private funeral service and burial will be held at a later date.
Mr. Stinton was born on February 21, 1942 in Palmetto, Florida and was the son of Thomas Stinton and Edna Davis Stinton, both deceased. He was a carpenter and had lived in Enigma for the past 16 years.
Mr. Stinton is survived by his wife, Peggy Brown Stinton of Enigma; two sons, Chuck Stinton of Valdosta and Thomas Singletary of Douglas; four daughters, Sheree Stinton of Douglas, Shelly Stinton of Tifton, Debbie Stinton and Lisa Singletary, both of Enigma; one brother, Raymond Stinton of Marietta; two sisters, Aline Luke of Enigma and Brenda Davis of Tifton; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
