Mrs. Alice M. McCauley, a longtime resident of Woburn passed away peacefully, November 15, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 92. Alice was the beloved wife of the late Charles R. McCauley Jr. She was born in Somerville and was the only child of the late David S. and Emma (Viano) Fenochetti.
Alice was raised in Arlington and was a graduate of the Mary Cliff Academy and was also a graduate of Mt. Ida College. Mostly devoted to her family, Alice was a wonderful and talented cook. She loved the holidays and especially enjoyed Christmas when she could cook and entertain the whole family. Alice loved the warmth of the sun and cherished spending time with her family during the summer months at their home in Nahant.
Alice will be greatly missed and forever remembered for her kindness, her generous nature and love for family and friends.
Alice is lovingly survived by her children; Charles McCauley and his wife Patricia of Woburn, Stephen McCauley and his partner Sebastian Stuart of Cambridge, Peter McCauley and his wife Rose of McLean, VA. She was the loving grandmother of Robert McCauley and his wife Danielle of Somerville, Matthew McCauley of Woburn, and Kyle McCauley of McLean, VA.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Thursday, November 20th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Calling hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held Wednesday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Alice's memory to the Boston Children's Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215-5301.
