Jay M. Cormier, age 49 of Brockton, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday November 12, 2014 after a period of failing health. He was the loving and devoted husband of Donna M. (McPherson) Cormier for 26 years. Jay was born in Brockton a son of the late Ronald and Shirley (Pezzano) Cormier and remained a lifelong resident of the city. For many years Jay had resided at the Hamilton-Wade Apartments.
A graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical School, Jay loved music and listening to the radio. He also enjoyed taking long rides to the Cape and walking the beach.
In addition to his wife Donna, Jay leaves 2 step-daughters Jennifer M. Coe and Tracey M. Parker. Jay was the brother of Craig Cormier, Lori Jean McSharry and the late Ronald E. Cormier, Jr. He was the brother-in-law of Daniel and Beverly Perkins and Sandra Gilbert.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton on Monday November 17, 2014 from 2-4 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 4pm.
