Ernestine D. Magowan, 82, of Stonington died Monday, November 10, 2014 at Avalon Healthcare in Mystic. Her husband, Arthur Magowan predeceased her in 1992.
She was born on March 27, 1932 in Norwich, the daughter of Ernest and Hilda Panciera. She worked at the former American Thermos Company of Norwich and then as a teller at CT National Bank for 18 years, retiring in 1996.
She is survived by her three children, Ricky A. (Holly) Magowan of Westerly, Sandra (William) Blanchard, and William A. (Cindy) Magowan both of Pawcatuck. She is also survived by her grandchildren Gabrielle Richards of Old Mystic, Gigi Magowan of Westerly, Heidi Blanchard, Sarah Banker, Ariana Magowan and Jamison Magowan all of Pawcatuck, as well as great granddaughter, Ava Rose Richards.
The family would like to thank Avalon for the wonderful care their mother received.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 11:00am at Cavalry Episcopal Church, 27 Church Street, Stonington. Burial will be private for the family.
