Diane R. (Danforth) Chase, 68, of Worcester, passed away Sunday, November 9th in Beaumont Nursing Center. Her husband, Joseph J. Chase died in 2006. She leaves a son, John J. Chase and his wife Noelani of Worcester; two grandchildren, Aidan and Makaela Chase of Worcester; a sister, Margaret Dukes of Mashpee; four step-brothers, Warren B. Snow, Jr. and Gregory J. Snow, both of Spencer, David A. Snow of Auburn, and James M. Snow of Worcester; seven step-sisters, Rose Marie Sargent of Spencer, Tina M. Christy and Donna M. Godfrey, both of Worcester, Joanne M. Snow of Rutland, Ann-Marie Tsetsos of Worcester, Mary-Jo Peterson of San Diego, CA, and Evelyn Engel of FL; three nieces, Jennifer Graves, Cheryl Krylowicz, and Jennifer Nideur; and many other step-nieces, step-nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Warren B. Snow, Sr. and Ruth (Ferguson) Snow, and a brother, Robert Danforth.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived here for many years. Diane worked at Heritage Nursing Home for many years and later worked at the Big D Market. She always had a smile on her face and warmed the hearts of many people. She loved being private, but also loved being around family and friends. The family would also like to thank all of her nursing care professionals for caring for her throughout the years, especially Salmon Hospice.
Funeral services will be held privately among the family members. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salmon VNA & Hospice, 1 Lyman Street, Westborough, MA 01581. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is assisting with arrangements.
