Mrs. Angie Hall Brewer, age 59, of Fernandina Beach, FL passed away on Sunday afternoon, November 2, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL.
Born in Swainsboro, she was the third of six children born to the late Preston James and Fannie Lou Ferrell Hall. She was raised in Kite. Angie was a graduate of Johnson County High School, Wrightsville, Class of 1973. After high school, she attended Nursing School at the Florida Keys Community College where she graduated with her Nursing Degree. After graduating from nursing school, she moved to the Riverside section of Jacksonville, FL where she began her career as an Emergency Room and Operating Room Nurse. In 1984 she married Cecil Lamar “Bo” Brewer. Later, Angie, her husband and their two sons moved to Fernandina Beach, FL. She continued working as a Registered Nurse at Nassau General and Baptist Medical Center. In the early 2000s Angie began working as a Realtor with Deonas Realty, Pruitt Realty and Fernandina Beach ERA. In later years, she lived in Savannah, Swainsboro and Fitzgerald before returning to Fernandina Beach, FL.
She loved garage sales, gardening, had a knack for “decorating on a whim” and was an avid reader. Angie had most recently attended the Arbor Baptist Church in Fitzgerald where she was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Kay Whisnant.
She leaves behind, her sons, Brandon and Jody Brewer, both of Fernandina Beach, FL, two brothers, Freddy Hall, Swainsboro, Tim Hall and his wife, Pam, Fitzgerald, two sisters, Faye Horton and her husband, Brian, Savannah, Sandy Williams, Adrian and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley Heard Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Lloyd Stembridge, officiating. Angie will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
