Konstantina (Kapoukranidis) Panagiotidis, 75, of Worcester died Thursday, November 6th in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Pantos Panagiotidis; four daughters, Dimitra Hatzopoulos and her husband, Simeon of Melbourne, Australia, Chrisafi Diamantidou and her husband, Nicholas of Hrisohorafa, Greece, Athena Panagiotidis of South Yarmouth and Maria Skritakis and her husaband, Angelo of Shrewsbury; her brother Dimitrios Kapoukranidis and his wife, Polihronia of St. Johnsbury, VT; two sisters, Soultana Pasxalidou of Metrousi, Greece and Menexia Yiantsides and her husband, John of Auburn, eleven grandchildren, Konstanstinos and Pantos Hatzopoulos, Maria Enetzilis, Konstantina Hatzopoulos, Dimitrios, Christina, Konstantina and Pantos Yiantsides, Demetrios, Pantos and Soultana-Konstantina Skritakis and eight great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law Stathoula Kapoukranidis of Leicester and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother Rev. Konstantinos Kapoukranidis.
She was born in Hrisohorafa, Greece the daughter of Demetrios and Chrisafi (Demetrakopoulos) Kapoukranidis; and was a long time member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, its Senior’s group and Alexander the Great Cultural Center. Mrs. Panagiotidis enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and devoted the bulk of her time to raising them.
Her funeral is Wednesday, November 12th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are, Tuesday, November 11th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
