Betty Jo Parker, 89, of Anderson died on October 31, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis following a sudden illness.
She was born on August 16, 1925 in Anderson to Arthur and Elsie (Everett) Robbins.
She worked production at Guide Lamp for 15 years following this is was primarily a homemaker.
She was a member of Bethany Christian Church and AARP. She liked gardening, growing flowers, and walking. She was in a Bible study group at Blue Ridge Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Parker of Anderson whom she married on October 17, 1954 in Anderson; 4 children, Sharon (Charles) Gilmore of Pendleton, Michael Parker of Anderson, Mark Parker of Pittsboro, NC, and Lynne (Bruce) Sutton of Indianapolis; 4 sisters and brothers, Rene Evans of Anderson, Rex Robbins of Pendleton, Deloris (Leo) Landwerlen of Danville, and Larry Robbins of Anderson; 10 grandchildren, Lora Caldwell of Naples, FL, Katharine (Scott) Anderson of Noblesville, Blaine Caldwell, Andrew Parker, Emily Parker all of Anderson, Amy Clark of Attica, Brian Gilmore and Laurie Gilmore both of Dallas, TX, Adam (Lindsey) Sutton of Indianapolis, and Brandon (Sherrie) Sutton of Waldron; 9 great-grandchildren, Robin Tubbs, Alec Anderson, Jack Anderson, Siara Swafford, Amber (Neal) Dowdy, Marlee Clark, Lydia Clark, Aubree Smith and Easton Sutton; 1 great-great grandchild, Victoria Grace Dowdy; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ross Parker; daughter, Kim Parker; 3 sisters, Wanda Ashby, Marjorie Slivka, and Phyllis Robbins; 2 brothers, Robert Robbins and Bill Robbins.
A funeral service will be on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 11:00am at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Kent Stookey and Pastor Brandon Sutton officiating. The burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
The visitation will be on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
