Obituary

Anthony R. Caputo Sr., 77 of Mystic, CT passed away at home on October 30, 2014 with his beloved family by his side.

He was born November 28, 1936 in Norwalk, Connecticut, the son of the late John and Rose (Rambona) Caputo. Mr. Caputo was employed at Pfizer, Inc. for 37 years retiring in 1991. He also served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958.

Mr. Caputo is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley (Ullrich), his three children, Kelly Caputo-Shinn and her husband, Kenny, of Mystic, Anthony Jr. of Southington, CT and Tina Sweetman and her husband, Jeff, of Plantsville, CT; his four adoring grandchildren, Brittany Shinn of Brooklyn, NY, Brielle Shinn of Mystic, Tyler and Alexa Sweetman of Plantsville, his granddog Sophie and his brother, John of Stratford, CT.

He is predeceased by five brothers, Charles, Michael, Pat, James and Dominic and three sisters, Angelina Bunyan, Jennie Castagna, and Chiarina (Lee) Foley.

His family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, November 7, from 10 to 11am at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic, with a service at 11am. Interment will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic.
