Alfred J. Colella Sr. age 81 of Salem, NH, died Tuesday at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.
He was born in Everett, MA, Grew up and was schooled in Malden, MA. He was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 29 years, formerly of Medford, MA.
Mr. Colella was a self employed contractor and excavator. He owned and operated Colella & Sons, Exchange Construction Company and McCoba Construction both of Malden, MA. He was a US Army veteran, serving in World War II. He was a Life Member of the D.A.V. in Manchester, NH and a member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, NH.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary O. (Papa) Colella
He is survived by 4 Sons: Thomas A. & his wife Barbara Colella of Tewksbury, MA
Richard J. & his wife Judith Colella of Reading, MA
Alfred J. Jr. & his wife Marianne Colella of Sandown, NH
Christopher M. & his wife Roxanne Colella of Salem, NH
1 Daughter: Lorraine & her husband Stephen Duggan of Salem, NH
1 Sister: Jeanette Mazzucco of Malden, MA
11 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces & Nephews
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 10 AM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
Calling hours will be held Friday, December 10, 2004 from 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
