CAPUTO, Adam P. Of Needham, October 29, 2014. Beloved husband of Barbara (Healy) Caputo. Devoted father of Paula Caputo of Needham, Pamela Feingold and her husband William of Lynnfield, and Stephen Caputo and his wife Elizabeth of Medfield. Grandfather of Rachel Feingold and Catherine Caputo. Brother of Eleanor Faulkner of West Roxbury and the late Paul, Albert, Jerry, and Ann Caputo, Esther Graham, Edith McKay, and Rose Owen.
He was a longtime member of the Charles River Country Club. Director and coach for Needham Little League, coach for Needham youth hockey, and started the girls soccer program. Graduate of Boston English High School and the University of Miami, where he played on the baseball team. He was a semi-pro baseball player and fought in Iwo Jima during World War II as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., NEEDHAM, Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Bartholomew Church, Needham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Monday 4-8pm. Private interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
