TEWKSBURY: Mary T. (O’Connor) Heidenrich, age77, a resident of West Tewksbury for over 50 years, died Sunday, December 5, 2004 at Saints Memorial Medical Center.
She was the wife of the late Karl L. Heidenirch, Jr. who died June 8, 2003. Born in Lowell on October 27, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Christina (Toolan) O’Connor.
Mrs. Heidenrich was raised in Lowell. She attended St. Patrick’s grammar and high school graduating in 1944.
During World War II, she worked at Lovell General Hospital at Fort Devens. Mrs. Heidenrich later worked as a secretary for the Medical Division of the Veterans Administration in Boston and the Veterans Administration Office in Lowell. In later years, she worked as a wedding floral designer for the Tyngsboro Flower Shop and Flowers by Raymond & Garland of Tewksbury.
She was a communicant of St. William’s Parish of Tewksbury and was a former member of the church choir. Mrs. Heidenrich was also a member of the Tewksbury Interfaith Choir.
She is survived by her daughter; Mary Jane Black and her husband Ronald of Tewksbury; her granddaughter; Heidi K. Black of Tewksbury; 3 sisters; Eileen Archibald of Methuen, Sheila Early of Lawrence and Edna Stirk and her husband Sidney of Nashua, NH; 1 brother; Edmund O’Connor and his wife Martha (Regan) of Lowell; 2 sister-in-law; Elinor (Leahy) O’Connor of Lowell and Anne (Jenkins) O’Connor of Lansing, MI; also many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Heidenrich was the sister of the late James, John and Gerald O’Connor and sister-in-law of the late Rita (LeRiche) O’Connor, Joseph Archibald and Edward Early.
Calling hours will be held Thursday morning from 9-11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell. Donations in her memory may be made to the Cancer Center at Saints Memorial Medical Center, Hospital Drive, Lowell, MA 01852
