Obituary

Bernard L. Rosata died Sunday December 5 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Needham. He was 88. Mr. Rosata was born in Boston and was the son of the late Enrico and Annie (Marino) Rosata. He was a World War II U.S. Navy and Merchant Marine Veteran. Mr. Rosata was a 22 year member of the Merchant Marines where he worked as an engineer. He was a 35 year resident of Needham and a member of the Needham American Legion.

He leaves his wife Carmela M. (Dentato) Rosata. His children Robert M. Rosata and his wife Ann of Needham, Nancy M. Rosata of Millis, and John H. Rosata of Needham. He was the brother of Jean Pselos of Carlsbad, CA, and the late Theodore Rosata, and Josephine Nunno. Mr. Rosata is also survived by 10 grandchildren.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave. (exit 19B of Rt.128) Needham, on Thursday at 9 am. Funeral mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Needham, at 10 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Needham.
