Silvers, James B. , 87, of Louisville passed away Friday October 24, 2014.
James was a native of Dayton, Ohio, a faithful deacon of Louisville Baptist Temple & was a former member of Ninth & O Baptist Church. Though he was a milkman for Sealtest, Ehrler’s & Royal Crest Dairies, his real passion was in auctioneering. He had served in the U. S. Navy during WWII.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Helen (McCollum) Silvers; a son, Michael James Silvers.
Survivors include his two children, Terry Silvers (Necia) & April West (Jerry); a daughter-in-law, Donna Younger; a brother, Robert Silvers; 12 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 -8:00 PM Monday.
