Mildred E. Sharpe, 90, of Franklin formerly of Saugus, died October 23 in St. Camillus Health Center in Whitinsville.
Born in New Bedford, January 8, 1924, the daughter of the late Vernon and Matilda (Bancroft) Sharpe, Miss Sharpe had lived most of her life in Saugus and had spent the past several years in Franklin.
Mildred had been a bookkeeper for General Electric in Lynn for many years before retiring.
She loved dogs and had one as a pet most of her life. She was an accomplished pianist and loved to play all the time.
There was seldom a time when Mil did not have a good word or funny observation to add to any conversation.
Mildred, a truly kind and caring person, will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Sister of the late Esther Sharpe and Vernon Sharpe, Jr. she is survived by her nephews, Alan Sharpe of Saugus, Philip Sharpe and his wife Jeanette of Framingham and Douglas Sharpe and his wife Zuri of Santa Ana, California.
Her funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 26 at 3:30 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.
Visitation will be from 3:00-3:30 p.m.
