William A. “Siki” Peterson, 71, of Medway died October 10 in Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Milford, February 1, 1943, the son of the late Elmer and Sadie (Caram) Peterson, Mr. Peterson was a lifelong Medway resident.
A graduate of Medway High School he was an outstanding football and baseball player.
Mr. Peterson had been a union carpenter for many years before retiring.
Siki was an avid sports fan and had umpired softball games in Medway for many years.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War Era and attained the rank of Specialist 4th grade.
He was member of the Medway American Legion.
Mr. Peterson is survived by his sister Elaine Ruggieri and her husband Michael of Medway and was the brother of the late Richard Peterson.
He is also survived by his nephews, Michael Ruggieri, Jr. and William Ruggieri.
His funeral service will be private with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
