
Bruce L. Pingree, 68, of Salem, NH passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 25, 1946 in Somerville, MA, a son of the late Robert L. and Myrtle (Olsen) Pingree. Bruce was a resident of Salem for more than 30 years. Bruce worked for RCA for many years starting out as an electronics technician and moving up the ranks to Branch Manager. He later worked for Sears. Bruce had a passion for electronics. He enjoyed collecting and repairing vintage record players, jukeboxes, and radios. He also was a collector of 50’s memorabilia. Bruce was also an animal lover. He enjoyed feeding the squirrels and chipmunks around his house. Bruce loved his four cats, three of which predeceased him. His beloved cat Gidget survived him and will be cared for and loved by Bruce’s son and daughter-in-law.
He is survived by his son, Greg Pingree and his wife Caroline of Medford, MA, one brother, Robert Mark Pingree of Londonderry, his former wife and longtime friend, Pat Pingree of Lowell, MA, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Following cremation, a graveside memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 1:00pm in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry Road, East Derry, NH.
