Thessaly (Diggins) Barnett, age 70 passed away at the Marina Bay Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Quincy on Monday, October 6, 2014.
Thessaly was survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Melvin of Rockland, Marianne Grant of North Carolina, Colleen Wilbur of Taunton and Nancy Diggins of Sandwich and her brother Charles Diggins of Middleboro. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and great grandnieces and grandnephews.
Thessaly was born in Clinton and lived in Weymouth where she graduated from Weymouth High School in 1961, moved to San Francisco, CA for 30 years before moving back to Weymouth for the last 12 years. She was a Clerk at Macy’s Department Store in Hanover.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Albert the Great Church, 1140 Washington St. Weymouth on Monday, October 13 at 9:30 AM.
