Julius Lawrence Moody, 85, of Richmond, Virginia, died Sunday, October 5, 2014, in Natural Bridge, Virginia.
Graveside services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Jeremy Cox officiating and Tim Mitchell delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 until 10:45 at the funeral home in Fitzgerald, before the services.
Mr. Moody was born October 15, 1928, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Allen Sylvester & Reba Lucille King Moody. He lived in the area most of his life. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He later retired from CSX Railroad while living in Richmond, Virginia. Mr. Moody was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his son: Aaron Moody & Pam of Phenix City, Alabama; grandson: Jeremy Lawrence Moody of Phenix City, Alabama; and his companion: Joan Hague of Natural Bridge, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
