Sanders, Carol Ann, 68, of Louisville, KY, died October 2, 2014, from cancer.
Mrs. Sanders was born Dec. 19, 1945, in London, England, to Allan and Sylvia Carwile (deceased).
Carol was a hair salon owner and a beautician for over 50 years, a real estate agent, a founding member of the Louisville chapter of The Dream Factory, a docent with The Louisville Zoo, a volunteer with Smile Train, and worked in conjunction with St. Baldrick’s donating hair for wigs, and also a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is preceded by her husband James E. Sanders, and her son James A. "Jimmy" Sanders.
She is survived by her son Chris (Alphy) Sanders of Louisville, KY; granddaughters, Aleah “LayLay” and Andrea “Mema” Sanders; and grandson, Cris R. Sanders (Amanda); sisters, Donna (Andrew) Strong, of Sydney, Australia, Alicia (David) Carwile of Louisville, KY, and Vi (Jess) Smith of Wapato, WA; Aunts, Patsy Heck and Doris Carwile of Panama City, Florida.
Loved and missed by all who knew her but now enfolded by God's love.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 10:00am to 8:00pm at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Funeral service is Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 6:00pm at the funeral home.
