Charlton- Charles R. Burrows, 85, formerly of Charlton, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, in Lanessa Extended Care Center, Webster.
His wife, Jeanne (Lacoste) Burrows, died in 1977. He leaves a daughter, Rose J. Carter of Charlton; a step-daughter, Eugenia P. Wassel of Worcester; a son, Louis N. Burrows of Maine; a granddaughter; great grandchildren; a niece. His sister, Lucille Gauthier, predeceased him. He was born in Charlton, son of Louis and Lumina (Boucher) Burrows and lived here all his life. He graduated from Charlton High School and Worcester Boys Trade School.
Mr. Burrows was a tool and die maker for many years. He owned and operated B & C Tool Co. in Southbridge, before retiring in 1984.
He was a former member of St. Joseph’s Parish, the Sturbridge Senior Center, and the A.A.R.P.
He was an avid fisherman.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 4, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, with a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H. Putnam Road Ext. Burial will be in Old Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, in the funeral home.
