Jean L. Steadman, 83, of Lynn, died Oct. 2, 2014 at the Abbott House Nursing Home. Born in Lynn, the daughter of the late James and Madeline (Maillett) Steadman. Raised and educated in Lynn, she was a graduate of the Lynn school system. She was employed by the Star Market Company as a meat wrapper, retiring in 2005 after 20 years. Jean was an avid bowler, a member of the Highland Association and she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Jean is survived by her son Jeff L. Steadman and his wife Lyn of Lynn, grandchildren Julianne Holmes and her husband John of Derry, N.H., Dominic Steadman and his fiancee Jennifer Bates of North Reading and great-grandchildren Jeffery and Jaylee Holmes and several nieces and nephews.
Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service Monday, Oct. 6 in the NADWORNY FUNERAL HOME, 798 Western Ave., Lynn, at 11 a.m. Burial in St. Jean’s Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours prior to the service from 9-11 a.m. Contributions may be made in Jean’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
