WORCESTER____Elizabeth E. (Whalen – Seymour) Weldon, 97 of Orient St., died on Sunday November 28 in St.Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. Her husband of 50 years, Alfred T. Weldon died in 1980.
She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth M. Guerin of Springfield, West Virginia; Sr. Pauline R. Weldon, of the Sisters of St. Anne in Webster; Estelle T. Civalier of Auburn and Jeanne C. Weldon with whom she lived; a brother, Joseph J. Seymour of Worcester; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester on December 10, 1906, the daughter of George R. Whalen and Ella P. (Marier) Whalen - Seymour and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Weldon was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Church.
The funeral will be held on Friday December 3 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday December 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 5 Whitman Rd., Worcester, 01609 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
