Evelyn O. Carriere 90, of High St. died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Conrad L. Carriere. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Aglae (Laprise) Nadeau. Evelyn devoted her life to caring for her family.
She is survived by four sons; Conrad J. Carriere of Englewood, FL, Lucien Carriere of Woonsocket, Marc Carriere of Pascoag, and Alan Carriere of Woonsocket, three daughters; Jeanne Dufresne and Rita Kozel, both of Woonsocket, and Doris Lamarre of Pascoag, a brother Raymond Nadeau of Albion, two sisters; Lena Deneault of NH, and Florence Gelinas of Woonsocket, twenty three grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Maurice Carriere and thirteen siblings.
Her funeral with visitation will be held Friday beginning at 8:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone.
