Margaret H. (Hennelly) Cavanaugh of North Hill, Needham, formerly of Wellesley Hills and West Newton, died November 30, 2004. She was 86. Mrs. Cavanaugh was born in Pittsfield in 1918 and was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Helena (Wickham) Hennelly. She attended local schools and went on to graduate from Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart. She spent her time running the family home and raising her children with her husband Tom. Mrs. Cavanaugh lived in West Newton for 27 years, and Wellesley Hills for 8 years, and in Needham for the past 5 years. She was a member of the Braeburn Country Club in West Newton, and the Lords and Ladies of the Holy Sepulcher.
Mrs. Cavanaugh was the wife of the late Thomas E. Cavanaugh. She is survived by her children, Thomas E. Cavanaugh III and his wife Lynne of Sparta, NJ, Suzanne C. Laven and her husband Dennis of East Greenwich, CT, Jane C. Lang and her husband Joseph of Concord formerly of Winchester, Paul S. Cavanaugh and his wife Maura of North Wales, PA, Richard P. Cavanaugh of Stamford, CT, and Mary Lou Cavanaugh of Charlestown. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Jane S. Hennelly of Pittsfield and the late Mary H. Callinan, Thomas P. Hennelly, MD, Louise H. Sullivan, and John W. Hennelly.
A funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) Wellesley, on 10 am. Funeral mass in St. Paul Church, Wellesley, at 11 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 3-8 pm. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
