
Anthony David Pollock, 39, of Chula died Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Chula with Rev. Chad Hall officiating. Mr. Pollock will be laid to rest at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 26, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Pollock will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will be at the residence of David and Sarah Covington at 74 Red Oak Road in Tifton.
David Covington, Trip Covington, Jason Pollock, Wayne Johnston, Dow Johnston, Malcolm McRae, Sam McCard and Dwight Miller will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Pollock was born on April 24, 1975 in Albany and was the son of Charlotte Ann Harrell Pollock Reynolds of Camilla and the late James Michael “Mike” Pollock. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, W. C. “Buddy” and Myrtle Ruth Pollock and his maternal grandparents, James Elisha and Mattie Lou Harrell. He graduated from Mitchell-Baker High School and had worked in construction with C and C Home Improvements in Tifton for sixteen years. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) and was an avid turkey hunter. He loved to be outside and work in the yard and loved being involved with the lives and activities of Lampl and Trip Covington, whom he loved with all his heart.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Pollock is survived by his wife, Casey Daniels Pollock of Chula; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jason and Kim Pollock of Camilla Michael and Samantha Mote of Camilla and Darrian and Amanda Mote of Shreveport, Louisiana; a sister-in-law, Carol Pate of Albany; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, John and Kelley Hodge of Tifton; and his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Mote, Victoria Mote, Raina Mote, Aslyne Mote, Shelly Mote, Maleah Carr, Alaina Pollock, Mason Pollock, Joshua Love, Leland Love, Jason Pate, Anna Pate and Jackson Hodge.
