Harold Ivan McDonald, 83, of Anderson died September 21, 2014 at his residence.
He was born November 11, 1930 in Indianapolis to Howard O. and Louise (Weasner) McDonald.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He was a machinist, tool & dye maker at Guide Lamp Division of General Motors.
He was a member of NRA; IOOF, 40/8, Korean War Veterans Assoc. Secretary-Treasurer of American Legion.
He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed HAM Radios. He was a Charter member of the Anderson Rifle and Pistol Club and was a gunsmith.
He is survived by his three children, Philip W. (Debra) Hagan; Joseph (Sherry Lyn) Hagan and Julia Hagan; his sister, Nancy L. (William) Turner; seven grandchildren, Stacy Lynn McCord; Nate Harmon; Carrieann Johnson; Joseph Matthew Hagan; Paul Eugene Hagan; Brooke Castor; and Leah Harmon; great grandchildren: Shiloh Elliott; Julian Iglesias; Archimedes Sonny Navarro; Jacob Johnson; Josh Johnson; Ivan Sophie Elsa; Maize Harmon; Annie McCord; Tristan McCord; Luke McCord and Alice Castor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Lou (Davis) McDonald; brother, Howard McDonald, Jr.
Service will be 11 am on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with burial at Simmons Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Sat. from 10- 11 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to NRA or Odd Fellows Lodge.
