BROWN, Elvah “Ivy” (Terrell), 88, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Signature Health Care at Cherokee Park.
Ivy was Matron of the Eastern Star Home, retiring after over 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star Victory Chapter 447.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Willis Brown, Jr.; parents Arthur and Jessie Mae (Bailey) Terrell; brother, Donald Terrell; and sisters, Marrine Paul and Mae Anna Shouse.
Ivy is survived by her daughters, Bonita Carol Stiles (Mark) and Beth Anne Mutchler (Larry); grandchildren, Michael W. Stump (Mandy) and Matthew A. Stiles; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Nichole Stump; and dear friend, Kathy Flecke, who considered Ivy her “Louisville Mom”.
Her service will be 11am Friday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 12noon-8pm and after 10am Friday at the funeral home.
