Delia (Vasconcellos) Borges, of Westport died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Kimwell Rehab & Skilled Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Alfred M. Borges.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Jose M. and Angelica (Correiro) Vasconcellos. Mrs. Borges was a Communicant of St. George Church, Westport. Prior to retirement, she was a seamstress at the former Darwood Manufacturing Co. in Fall River. She enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her son: Steven A. Borges of Westport; a brother-in-law: Walter Pacek of MT; a sister-in-law: Dorothy Borges of Swansea; her very dear and close friend: Edward Medeiros; and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late: Oscar, David and Louis Vasconcellos and Gilda Pacek.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, September 26, 2014 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday 6 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
