Obituary

Robert Edward (Bob) Maloon, 82, of Natick, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2014 with close family by his side.

Bob was born in Natick, MA on September 26, 1931, son of the late Arthur and Rose (Roche) Maloon, and graduated from Natick High School in 1950.

Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict aboard the U.S.S. William C. Lawe DD/763 and later worked as a truck driver for BFI in Holliston for over 31 years

Bob is survived by his wife Patricia (Meade-Forance) of 16 years and pre-deceased by wife Hilda (MacDonald) Maloon.

Bob was extremely loving and proud of his four children, Robert Maloon, Jr. and his wife, Mary Ann, Peter Maloon, Carol Hamilton and her husband, Gordon and Michael Maloon and husband Kevin Turner, and his four granddaughters; Jessica Hamilton-Forrest and her husband Daniel Forrest, Julie Hamilton, Katie Maloon and Molly Maloon.

Bob was fortunate to enjoy an extended family with his step-children, Carol (Forance) Barry and her husband Emile, Elizabeth (Forance) Fitzgerald and her husband John, Janet (Forance) Vercelli and her husband Edward, Thomas Forance and his wife Karen, James Forance and his wife Janice and Anne (Forance) Dutrey and her husband John and loving step grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Patrick, Wyatt, Jack, Matthew, Timothy, Kathryn, Kimberly, Christopher and wife Nicole, and Janine.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick’s Church at 12:00 Noon. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Interment St Patrick Cemetery. Donations in Bob’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
