Elda M. (Riddle) Montgomery, 82, of Anderson died September 18, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born March 27, 1932 in Pennsylvania to Warren F. and Margaret A. (Burk) Riddle.
She worked for Cardinal Services as an assistant in a group home for over 20 years. She attended South Meridian Church of God where she was a very active member, serving one time as a youth leader. She enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking for her family and reading.
She is survived by her two children, Larry D.( Vicki A.) Montgomery of Anderson and Marlene F. (Kyle W.) Hamilton of Huntington, IN; two brothers, Wayne (Mary Lou) Riddle; Stanley (Martha) Riddle; three sisters, Jean Walters, Helen Emmett and Lois (Jerry) Shipton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald Montgomery; Florence Smith; Mary (Lee) Blair; Martha (Lee) Smith; Clifford (Diane) Montgomery; Virginia (Norman) Turner; Walter (Alice) Montgomery; four grandchildren, Leslie N.(Michael A.) Cram; Aaron J. Montgomery; Hillary B. (Todd L.) Baden and Neal R. Hamilton; two great grandchildren; Audie J. Baden; Jase L. Cram and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death her parents, her husband of 33 years, Lawrence L. Montgomery; two brothers, Gale Riddle and Earl Riddle and a great grandson, Noah M. Cram
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service in Anderson. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 21 from 2-6 pm at the funeral home
Memorial contributions may be given to South Meridian Church of God building fund.
